Date Match Odds Bet Result
Jul 24, 2008 David Ferrer to beat Richard Gasquet 1.53
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.53 (Pinnacle Sports)
Ferrer has had the better of Gasquet on three previous occasions in nothing short of absolute demolishings. His ability to take the ball early matches up great against Gasquet who plays way behind the baseline. Ferrer will dictate this match from start to finish and move through to the quarter finals.
Jul 22, 2008 Robin Soderling to beat Guillermo Canas 1.47
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.47 (Pinnacle Sports)
Soderling is really coming into his own. He is 1-0 against Canas with a win this year on clay and Guillermo just isn't the same player as he was last year when he was so dominant and got back to 12 in the world and beat Federer twice. Soderling has been a two-time finalist this year and is very dangerous on hard court. We see him advancing.
Marat Safin to beat Sam Querrey 1.74
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.74 (Pinnacle Sports)
Safin getting to the semis of Wimbledon in our view makes Safin a new man. We feel he is now going to challenge on the Tour again. A past Champion in Canada, Safin's confidence is high now and that is half his battle. Querrey got to the semis of Indy last week but before that he had won only two matches since April and is still green. Safin we feel is going to be too strong and what a price for his skills.
Jul 21, 2008 Radek Stepanek to beat Feliciano Lopez 1.43
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.43 (Pinnacle Sports)
Stepanek is defending a semi-final appearance in Toronto and is an incredible 6-0 against Lopez lifetime, which includes wins on all surfaces. Lopez is a dangerous player but is a bit weak mentally and being 0-6 against his opponent is definitely going to to affect him. Lopez hasn't won a match in the Masters Series events in either Canada or Cincinnati since 2004 so he really struggles in these events. We like Stepanek to coninue his domination of Lopez and advance.
Mario Ancic to beat Frank Dancevic 1.31
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.31 (Pinnacle Sports)
Ancic just got to the quarter finals of Wimbledon and is back in his form that took him to top 10 in the world. Dancevic has really been struggling with his results and health. Mario is 28-12 on the year and is such a great competitor and performer. Dancevic was a finalist in Indy last year and lost first round there this year and is defending a quarter final apperance in this tournament so the pressure is mounting on the young Canadian. His ranking is going to be well into the 100's in the next week. We don't see Dancevic regaining any form against the very consistent serve and volley game of Ancic.
Jul 18, 2008 Marc Gicquel to beat Teimuraz Gabashvili 1.58
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.58 (Pinnacle Sports)
Gicquel is a solid baseliner that has been playing well lately. Finals in Holland on grass and a third round showing at Wimbledon. It is on grass but Gicquel is a confidence player and a solid win over de Bakker in his first match showed he is continuing his fine play. Gabashvili has won some Challengers this year but didn't beat any impressive players really. Straight set loss to Devilder in his last tournament wasn't too impressive and neither was losing to two guys ranked in the 300's in the world in May. Gicquel won on clay in straight sets in their last meeting and we see him collecting another win.
Jul 17, 2008 Albert Montanes to beat Pablo Cuevas 1.45
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.45 (Pinnacle Sports)
Montanes is a great grinder on clay and has put together a .500 record this year. Quarter-final showings in Hamburg, Barcelona and Stuttgart as well as a Challenger win in Italy all on clay show why he is better than Pablo. Cuevas is a 134 in the world and has not put together a win over anyone as good as Montanes this year. Losses to Kukushkin, Young, Benneteau on clay and Ryan Harrison show how vulnerable he can be even though his gamestyle impresses most. Montanes advances.
Jul 14, 2008 Gilles Simon to beat Nicolas Mahut 1.60
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.60 (Pinnacle Sports)
Simon has had a very solid year, with a title in Casablanca and a semi-final showing on hard courts in Rotterdam. Having just reached the 3rd round of Wimbledon, his confidence is high and is playing some of the best tennis of his career. Mahut, on the other hand, has had big issues this year with consistency. He's only 11-17 on the year and has lost first round in 5 of his last 6 events played. Mahut is on his way out of the top 100, being ranked 95 currently, and will be hard pressed to take down the tenacious Simon in this encounter. We like Simon advancing.
Jul 12, 2008 Richard Gasquet to beat Augstin Calleri 1.47
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.47 (Pinnacle Sports)
Gasquet looks to have turned a corner with his play in the last month, after starting the year in bad form. He should have advanced to the quarters of Wimbledon up two sets to love on Murray and serving for it. This great talent we feel is lifting his game after his ranking has dropped out of the top ten. Calleri is 0-1 against Gasquet and is a solid player but is not of the same caliber as Gasquet. Losses this year on clay for Calleri include Mardy Fish, Benneteau, and Roitman so he is unpredictable. We feel Gasquet will keep his head on mentally for this great opportunity to take home his first title of the year in Stuttgart.
Jul 11, 2008 David Ferrer to beat Tommy Robredo 1.47
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.47 (Pinnacle Sports)
Ferrer is 3-1 lifetime against Robredo, including two clay wins this year over him. Ferrer is in great form, having won the warm-up grass event in Holland, quarters of the French and finals of Barcelona. We see the defending champ in Bastad being too strong in all departments for Robredo. Tommy has had some fair results on clay recently but Ferrer is one of the top four clay courters in the world and Robredo's game we feel has gone down a few notches this year with losses to Stepanek, Karlovic, and Roddick on the dirt. We like Ferrer advancing to the final.
Jul 10, 2008 Nicolas Kiefer to beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 1.42 VOID
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.42 (Pinnacle Sports)
Kiefer is a great competitor and we love having our money on such a great mentally tough player as is Nicolas. Garcia-Lopez on the other hand can lose his play at any time even as talented as he is. Kiefer is 2-0 against Garcia-Lopez including a win over him in Miami this season. Kiefer has been playing great ball with a quarter-final showing in Hamburg on clay and had a nice showing on grass with a semi-final in Halle. Kiefer advances.
Jul 09, 2008 Simone Bolelli to beat Juan Martin Del Potro 1.84
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.84 (Pinnacle Sports)
As we've stated before, Bolelli is the real deal and is a stud on clay. He had a bit of a hiccup against Zverev before prevailing in three sets but won the third set convincingly at 6-2. Del Potro is a dangerous player with a big serve but is 0-2 against Bolelli on clay including a loss at the French Open this year. Mentally we also favour Bolelli over Del Potro as the big Argentine can go south quickly if things don't materialize to his liking. Bolelli has the advantage.
Jul 08, 2008 Simon Bolelli to beat Mischa Zverev 1.36
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.36 (Pinnacle Sports)
Bolelli is a clay stud and has been very good to us. He has a dangerous serve and forehand combination and has had a very solid clay court season, with a finals appearance in Munich, and 3rd round showings in Rome and at the French Open. Zverev excels on faster surfaces and clay is his worst surface. Bolelli holds a 1-0 record head to head and it was a win on clay. We see Bolelli winning this and extending Zverev's losing streak on clay to 6 in a row. This match is in Stuttgart, Germany.
Luis Horna to beat Jeremy Chardy 1.69
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.69 (Pinnacle Sports)
Horna has had a solid clay season which included winning the French Open doubles title with Pablo Cuevas. Horna holds a 1-0 record against Chardy with a win on clay last year in Austria. What we really like here is that Horna won a Challenger last week in Switzerland on clay which included good wins over Starace and Eschauer. A semi-final appearance in Acapulco and a third round showing in Rome this season with wins over Gasquet, Acasuso and Juan Monaco are impressive. Chardy had a great French Open with a fourth round showing but lost to a 187th ranked player last week on clay and has shown inconsistent results this year. This match is in Gstaad, Switzerland.
Jun 28, 2008 Radek Stepanek to beat Mikhail Youzhny 1.66
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.66 (Pinnacle Sports)
Stepanek is just a rock mentally and physically in his matches as was on display in his last match against Troicki when he came back from 2 sets to love down to win in five sets. In doing so, he lost only 6 games in those last three sets too which shows how tough he is to put away. Stepanek is very difficult to beat over five sets especially for players that have not had the best of success against him lately like Younzhny. Radek has won the last two meetings in straight sets although they were four years ago. Going over Youzhny's results on grass, hehas not beaten anyone of Radek's caliber even though he reached the round of sixteen at Wimbledon last year. Radek's serve and volley game will be sure to frustrate the Russian. And Youzhny was also down two sets to one to qualifier Stefano Galvani last round and managed to scrape through which shows he wasn't playing at his top form. Radek we feel will be eager to advance to the fourth round as he looks ahead to a chance to possibly play Nadal.
Jun 26, 2008 Tommy Haas to beat Tommy Robredo 1.49
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.49 (Pinnacle Sports)
The battle of the two Tommy's tomorrow we see going in favor of Haas, who got to the fourth round of Wimbledon last year before having to retire to Federer. Haas seems to have put his injury battles behind him and looks in fine form to disband of Robredo. After defeating Stepanek on grass last week and losing 7-6 in the third to the tough Kohlschreiber, Haas is back to hitting bomb serves and crushing his ground strokes like he can as well as being able to follow it up at the net. Haas four set win over Canas in the first round shows he is in good form. Robredo, on the other hand, struggles more on grass than any other surface. Losses on grass in recent years include Arthurs, Wessels, Serra and Burgmuller, not exactly a list of big threats on Tour. To prove how much Robredo likes grass he decided to warm up for Wimbledon on clay in Warsaw a week ago. The former number 2 Haas will have to much firepower on this surface for Robredo over five sets.
Radek Stepanek to beat Viktor Troicki 1.32
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.32 (Pinnacle Sports)
Stepanek is a former Wimbledon quarterfinalist and loves the lower bouncing court surfaces. He has an excellent serve and volley game and dangerous return of serves. He did forfeit last week after smothering John Isner in the first round but there is no issue. A resounding first round win over the cagey Jan Hernych shows Radek is reading for business. Troicki had a good week last week defeating Ljubicic, but Ivan's play has dropped dramatically from year's past and Troicki's loss the next round to Canas, 6-2 6-2 is more of what we expected. Troicki does have a good serve but with Stepanek's return game, we see Radek advancing in this best of five set match, especially with him being one of the most mentally tough players on Tour. No one enjoys playing Radek Stepanek with the mind games that he likes to play with his opponents and Troicki will find out why tomorrow.
Jun 25, 2008 Marcos Baghdatis to beat Thomas Johansson 1.20
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.20 (Pinnacle Sports)
Baghdatis is 2-0 against Johansson and beat him earlier this year. Baghdatis got the semis of WImbledon in 2006 and the quarter-finals last year so is great on this surface. Johansson used to be a good grass courter but has slipped in recent years. He came from a two sets to love down to beat Spadea in the first round and got a couple of walkovers in Nottingham to then only being able to get three games off of Marin Cilic of Croatia. Short price but Marcos wins.
Jun 24, 2008 Nicolas Kiefer to beat Julien Benneteau 1.57
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.57 (Pinnacle Sports)
Kiefer has got a great game for grass and it was on display last week in Halle, where he got to the semis before losing to the great Roger Federer. Kiefer is 1-0 lifetime against Benneteau with that win being on grass at Wimbledon. Julien has a decent serve and can come in to the net quite well but against the cagey German, will be hard pressed to win over five sets. We like Kiefer to advance.
Stefano Galvani to beat Jamie Baker 1.64
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.64 (Pinnacle Sports)
Galvani, a former top 100 player, has come through qualies at WImbledon with good wins over Jimmy Wang and Bozaljac and will be eager to get a first round win here over the English wild card ranked 260. Galvani has reached the second round of Wimbledon two years ago and we his experience and match play on the grass to be the difference. Baker has not played any of the main draw events on grass in the past few weeks and will be hard pressed to take out the Italian.
Jun 23, 2008 Jarkko Nieminen to beat Wayne Odesnik 1.43 VOID
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.43 (Pinnacle Sports)
Nieminen is a former Wimbledon quarterfinalist two years ago and a third round showing last year at this event. He has struggled this year but is getting back his form as he reached the third round of Roland Garros before losing to eventual champ Nadal. Odesnik, who will be appearing in his Wimbledon debut, has had his best results on clay and is his surface of preference. We feel Nieminen will be too tough on this day over a five set match for the young American.
Jun 22, 2008 Simon Bolelli to beat Alex Bogdanovic 1.78
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.78 (Pinnacle Sports)
Bolelli is a great up and comer who can play on all surfaces and we have really done well with this guy. He has a big serve and can rally with the best of them. Bogdanovic is one of two English wild cards who is ranked 271 in the world. WIth losses in Surbiton to lowly Harel Levy and in Queen's to lowly ranked journeyman Joseph Sirianni, we don't see anything here to prove that Bolelli is going down in this one. Bolelli had a nice win over Garcia-Lopez in the first round of Wimbeldon last year before bowing out to Hewitt. We see the stylish Italian advancing.
Jun 19, 2008 Guillermo Canas to beat Viktor Troicki 1.84
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.84 (Pinnacle Sports)
Canas hasn't been the same player as he was last year when he was in the top 15 in the world but he is still a former top 10 player that can bring the goods. And is surprisingly quite effective on grass. A former semi-finalist and finalist of this event, the grass makes his serve a little more dangerous and his short backswing on his groud strokes makes him effective. Troicki came through qualies and beat Ljubicic last round but we like Canas to take him here just like Nalbandian, a similar style player to Canas, took him down last week on grass at Queen's. Canas holds a 1-0 record on him with a close win on carpet last year. Canas is always hungry to add to his win total and he will be keen to take advantage of the number 100 ranked player in this encounter.
Jun 18, 2008 Guillermo Canas to beat Rohan Bopanna 1.45
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.45 (Pinnacle Sports)
Canas had a nice win in the first round over the tough serving and volleying Zverev and seems to have adjusted from clay nicely. Bopanna has a big serve but Canas handled it great today in doubles playing against him and Lindstedt as Canas and Del Potro won 6-2 6-1. Canas had a third round showing in Wimbledon last year and is just a far better player than the 292 ranked Rohan.
Arnaud Clement to beat Marcel Granollers 1.41
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.41 (Pinnacle Sports)
Clement has a great return and good speed which will help him here in this match. A nice win over Benjamin Becker in the first round shows he is playing well. Granollers was fortunate to play an injured Vliegen in the first round and get a virtual walkover. Clement will be too smart and has the experience to take Granollers here in Marcel's third pro grass match.
Jun 17, 2008 Radek Stepanek to beat John Isner 1.43
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.43 (Pinnacle Sports)
Stepanek has had a great year and is a former Wimbledon quarterfinalist two years ago. Radek will be hungry to rebound from his first round loss in Halle to the dangerous Tommy Haas and with his great serve, crisp volleys and excellent return of serve, we like him to take out the big serving American. Isner lost to Mahut last week and will serve big but will be vulnerable against the crafty Czech once Stepanek gets his serve back.
Jun 16, 2008 Kristof Vliegen to beat Marcel Granollers 1.36 VOID
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.36 (Pinnacle Sports)
Not a whole tomorrow but we like Vliegen to advance in this one. Granollers is primarily a clay courter, having only played one hard court tournament this year. Marcel is coming over from Poland which was played on clay to play this one and this will be only his second appearance on grass. He lost in the first round of Wimby two years back. Vliegen, who lost in the semis of Halle two year ago can play on grass and even though he can be a bit erratic with his play, with his big serve and attacking game, we feel he will be enough to get by the Spaniard in this one.
Jun 14, 2008 Rafael Nadal to beat Andy Roddick 1.72
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.72 (Pinnacle Sports)
Nadal got through a tough matchup today against Karlovic but didn't face a break point on his serve. Nadal didn't play great against Nishikori the round before but that's expected with his schedule lately after winning the French. But Nadal is on a roll and is tougher mentally than anyone on tour and we feel that against a Roddick that is just coming back from injury that he will have enough to win this one. Roddick got a walkover today in what would have been a big test against Andy Murray and only had to play one set against Fish so we feel that he is still a bit rusty. This will be a close match but we see Nadal taking this and getting his revenge on losing to Roddick in Dubai this year. Nadal has his eyes on a Wimbeldon title this year and a win in Queen's is very important to him. This guy just keeps getting better.
Jun 13, 2008 David Nalbandian to beat Richard Gasquet 1.69
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.69 (Pinnacle Sports)
Nalbandian is 5-0 against Gasquet including a win over him in straight sets at Wimbledon three years ago. David had a very impressive win over last year's Queen's finalist Nicolas Mahut today 6-4 6-1. The former Wimbledon finalist is playing well and will be very confident to dispatch the erratic Frenchman. Gasquet had a nice win over Ancic today but his play has been .500 for the year coming into this tournament and we don't see him being able to overcome an 0-5 record against Nalbandian here. Mentally Gasquet is as fragile as they come for a top 10 player especially and we see David capatilizing.
Jun 12, 2008 Andy Murray to beat Ernest Gulbis 1.40
Bet 1 unit on 1.40 (Pinnacle Sports)
Murray missed last year's grass court season due to injury and he has been saliavting at the opportunity to play back in England again on the grass. His 2006 4th round showing in 2006 at Wimbeldon which included a win over Roddick shows his strengths on this surface. Gulbis has been on quite a run, getting to the quarters in Paris and now in the third round here. But we see the show stopping here. Murray will be returning Gulbis's big serves back and will outsmart him from the baseline and play on his inconsistent forehand. Andy advances here.
Jun 10, 2008 Ivan Ljubicic to beat Michael Llodra 2.09
Bet 0.5 unit on 2.09 (Pinnacle Sports)
An excellent play and price on a guy that is coming off a fourth round of the French Open, his worst surface. Ljubicic won 's-Hertogenbosch last year and reached the third round of Wimby too. Llodra is dangerous and also had a good French Open but Llodra has never reached the heights of play that Ljubicic has in reaching 3 in the world and we like him to take this one over the Frenchman.
Jun 08, 2008 Benjamin Becker to beat Denis Gremelmayr 1.94
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.94 (Pinnacle Sports)
Becker has had a rough year but plays his best tennis on faster courts. On grass, he has reached the second round of Wimbledon losing to Verdasco in a close fifth set. Gremelmayr has only played one grass court match in his pro career and he lost it. Denis had a good clay court season but is going to struggle to adapt to the faster conditions and to Becker's big serve and forehand combination. Becker also reached the quarters of 's-Hertogenbosch on grass last year. Becker also holds a 1-0 record against Gremelmayr but it was many years ago. We like Becker to advance.
May 29, 2008 Radek Stepanek to beat Jiri Vanek 1.20
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.20 (Pinnacle Sports)
Stepanek had an impressive straight set win over last week's Casablanca winner Gilles Simon. Having reached the semis of Rome and with wins over Federer and Ferrer, he is a step ahead of Vanek here who has primarily been playing in Challenger events. Radek is 1-0 here and is just simply a better and smarter player. Vanek beat a qualifier and we see Stepanek taking this one.
Dmitry Tursunov to beat Jeremy Chardy 1.64
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.64 (Pinnacle Sports)
The courts at Roland Garros play quicker than most other clay courts in Europe and this helps the hard hitting Russian. As has been shown by his results in Paris. A 3rd round appearance in 2006 where he lost in five sets to Nalbandian and a win last year over Di Mauro shows he can get it done at the French. A nice win over Garcia-Lopez today shows good form. Chardy had the win of his life today over Nalbandian. This one still has our heads scratching, especially with Nalbandian being up 2 sets to 0. But it is very hard to come from a big win like this and play great tennis and Tursunov has been further than this in Grand Slams, and we see this being the difference.
May 28, 2008 Eduardo Schwank to beat Marcel Granollers 1.92
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.92 (Pinnacle Sports)
Schwank had a great win over Moya in the first round and is coming into this tournament having won three challengers in a row which equates to a 15 match winning streak. Make that 16 with his win over Moya. You have to ride a streak like this and even though he was cramping at the end of the Moya match, he has had two days to recover and will be ready to go. Granollers, since winning Houston, has only won 2 of his last 5 matches and he beat a quite poor clay courter in Berrer in four sets in the first round. We like Schwank to continue his run.
Lleyton Hewitt to beat Mardy Fish 1.40
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.40 (Pinnacle Sports)
Hewitt looked very solid today after his layoff dispatching of Mahut. Fish had a surprising win over Calleri, although Calleri has been quite unpredictable this year. Hewitt is 1-1 against Fish and lost to him 7-6 in the third this year at Indian Wells. On clay, Hewitt will have the advantage with his patience and consistency. Fish's first win at Roland Garros will remain at one here and we see Lleyton advancing.
May 25, 2008 Oscar Hernandez to beat Ivo Minar 1.88
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.88 (Pinnacle Sports)
Hernandez is 1-0 against Minar and he beat him this year at the Aus Open. Minar is 2-5 on the clay season this year and we feel Hernandez is too experienced here for him. Oscar is defending a 3rd round result here at Roland Garros and this is a great opportunity to get back there. Hernandez beat Monfils last week and did retire at the end of his match against Benneteau but will be ok to play.
Dudi Sela to beat Victor Hanescu 1.93
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.93 (Pinnacle Sports)
Hanescu is 3-10 on the year and in our books, isn't really that solid anymore. Sela hits a great ball and is very solid in best of five matches as was shown in his Davis Cup wins over Massu and Gonzalez. Sela had a nice win over Zverev last week before losing to the hot Seppi. Sela advances here.
Ivo Karlovic to beat Alejandro Falla 1.31
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.31 (Pinnacle Sports)
Not a huge price here but we see Ivo winning here. Falla has been fighting injury and has only just started playing since a two month layoff. Karlovic has been very solid this clay season, reaching the round of 16 in Hamburg and Rome. Ivo's big serve will cause problems for Falla and we see the big man advancing.
Robby Ginepri to beat Donald Young 1.60
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.60 (Pinnacle Sports)
Ginepri had a big week last week, beating Ancic, and Rochus before bowing out to the tough Monaco but he was up 5-2 in the second set and was in the match. He has been training hard with a new coach and he has Jose Higueras there as well. He beat Young in their only meeting but that was a few years ago. Young is a solid up and comer but we feel Ginepri has more weapons and will be keen to win his first match at Roland Garros.
May 24, 2008 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to beat Maria Emilia Salerni 1.48
Bet 1 unit on 1.48 (Pinnacle Sports)
May 22, 2008 Olivier Rochus to beat Robby Ginepri 1.58
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.58 (Pinnacle Sports)
Olivier hasn't had a great year, being under .500 for the year, but is a good solid clay courter that can handle a big serve. Having won Munich on clay in the past, he feels at home on the surface. Ginepri, on the other hand, won his first match on clay in over two years, which was quite a remarkable one at that against Ancic. Robby hasn't won two clay court matches in a row since 2002 and we see Rochus being too solid on clay for him to pull that feat off now. We see Rochus taking this one.
May 19, 2008 Robin Haase to beat Sergio Roitman 1.47
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.47 (Pinnacle Sports)
Robin Haase is a great young player who is on the rise. He got to the quarters in Valencia and lost in the secon round of Barcelona to the tough Robredo. With the altitiude this week in Austia, we see Haase's serve and winning ground strokes being very effective. Roitman's strengths are his consistency and grinding ability, something we don't see will be enough to get him by Haase. Roitman lost in the second round in the Challenger in Bordeaux, France to a a guy ranked almost 900 in the world a week ago and has been struggling this year with a 6-11 record on the year. We like Haase to advance.
May 16, 2008 Nicolas Kiefer to beat Andreas Seppi 1.82
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.82 (Pinnacle Sports)
We know Seppi got us today with an extremely disapointing effort from Monaco but Kiefer is playing too well we feel not to take this one and with a great price attached to it too. Kiefer has beaten Mathieu, Wawrinka, and Davydenko this week in his home country and is back to playing the kind of tennis he was before he injured his wrist at 2006 French Open. Seppi is a solid player but we feel he will struggle with Kiefer's potent serve and all around game.
May 14, 2008 Juan Monaco to beat Andreas Seppi 1.46
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.46 (Pinnacle Sports)
Monaco has had a very impressive week with wins over Bolelli and Volandri. His losses in the clay season recently have only been to clay court studs Almagro and Andreev and he won Vina Del Mar earlier this year. He also puts in great efforts that you love to see from your picks. Seppi is a solid clay courter but is being overrated here with his win over a struggling Gasquet in his last round. Recent losses to Querrey and Blake show us that Monaco should be able to put him away. Monaco should take this one.
May 13, 2008 Carlos Moya to beat Julien Benneteau 1.58
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.58 (Pinnacle Sports)
Moya is 11-11 on the year but has been struggling lately losing in the first round in his last three tournaments. But we see Moya being too good a clay courter to lose to Benneteau here. Moya was a semi-finalist in Hamburg last year with wins over Berdych and Djokovic. He isn't playing as well but he did have a finals apperance in Costa du Sauipe this year. Benneteau isn't a clay court whiz by any means with this being his first clay tour event this year. We feel Moya will overcome his slump here with his superior clay game and feel Benneteau doesn't have the weapons that some of Moya's recent opponents have had that he has lost to. We like Moya to advance.
May 12, 2008 Simone Bolelli to beat Marcel Granollers 1.61
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.61 (Pinnacle Sports)
Bolelli is coming off two good wins in Rome before bowing out to Roddick and a finals appearance in Munich. Simone has really impressed us with his great backcourt skills and impressive serve. Mentally, this guy thinks he can beat almost anyone. He still lacks the confidence to take out the big boys yet, as was evident in his loss to Roddick which we will feel he should have won the first set and then who knows after that. He will get there though and against Granollers, he will be looking to rebound. Granollers won in Houston but has lost to Troicki and Montanes since then and we don't feel he is as good a player as Bolelli here. We like Bolelli to continue his fine play with a win here.
May 09, 2008 Tommy Robredo to beat Andy Roddick 1.71
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.71 (Pinnacle Sports)
Robredo is coming off a good win today over Davydenko and has turned his game around since entering the clay court season. Nice wins over Canas, Chela and now Davydenko have us convinced he is ready to make serious charge on clay. Roddick had a good win today over Bolelli although Bolelli did not play at the level that he has been the last few weeks and we felt was the better player here. But Roddick was keeping a lot more balls in play than we are used to seeing him do on clay to his credit. The fact that Roddick is 7-0 against Robredo is a concern with one win on clay but they haven't played in over four years. We throw this out the window with the fact that Robredo is a top 10 clay courter now and Roddick never quite seems comfortable out there on the dirt. We see Robredo out rallying Roddick here and finally getting a win over the American.
May 07, 2008 Stanislas Wawrinka to beat Andy Murray 2.01
Bet 0.5 unit on 2.01 (Pinnacle Sports)
Wawrinka is one of the top 10 clay courters in the world in our view and we are not totally sold on Murray's clay game up to this point. Murray was down a set to Del Potro in the first round before he came back and Del Potro pulled out in the third set with a bizarre back injury. Andy also lost in straight sets to Ancic last week in Barcelona even though he showed some improvement on the clay in Monte Carlo. Wawrinka was a semi-finalist last week in Barcelona and although he wasn't that sharp with his ground game and first serve against Safin in the first round, we look for him to really come out sharp in this encounter. The better clay courter wins here and Wawrinka we like to advance.
May 04, 2008 Stanislas Wawrinka to beat Marat Safin 1.52
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.52 (Pinnacle Sports)
Wawrinka beat Safin in straight sets at the US Open last year and we like him to do it again. Stanislas got to the semis of Barcelona last week, beating Nalbandian in straight sets along the way. The former junior French Open champion works as hard as anyone match in and match out and you just love having money on a guy like that. Safin has improved his play lately but struggles with almost any opponent he plays, especially talented clay courters such as Wawrinka. We like Wawrinka to take out the inconsistent Safin here.
May 02, 2008 Fernando Gonzalez to beat Marat Safin 1.67
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.67 (Pinnacle Sports)
Gonzalez is a worth a play here with him being undefeated on clay this year, as he won the only event he has played in at Vina Del Mar. Fernando has also won his last four meetings against Safin, with two of those victories being on clay. Safin is always dangerous but has proven this year that he is not the same player that he once was. His results have improved in the last month but three sets wins this week over Berlocq and Berrer, who is far from a clay court whiz, have done little to impress us as he goes into this matchup. We see Gonzalez advancing here.
May 01, 2008 Albert Montanes to beat Mikhail Kukushkin 1.71
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.71 (Pinnacle Sports)
Montanes has had two solid wins this week so far, with wins over Granollers and Karlovic in his backyard of Barcelona. Albert is a clay court veteran who gives you all his got and plays with great consistency. Kukushkin has jumped on to the scene this week after qualifying and posting wins over Nieminen and Cuevas. But let's not get too excited about these wins for the teenager. Nieminen has won once in his last 10 ATP matches and Cuevas lost to a 15 year junior in Houston a few weeks ago. Mikhail barely escaped Oliver Marach in the final round of qualies too. Great effort from this kid but we see Montanes taking advantage of this encounter with his experience.
Apr 30, 2008 Simone Bolelli to beat Andreas Seppi 1.91
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.91 (Pinnacle Sports)
Bolelli is very impressive after his first round win over Gicquel and is a guy on the rise. Seppi is up and down with his results, with recent losses to Querrey, Rik De Voest, we feel Bolelli is playing better here and is more mentally tough. Simone has more weapons and is a great fighter, just who you want to have your money on. We see Bolelli taking this one and continuing his rise up the rankings.
Apr 28, 2008 Simon Bolelli to beat Marc Gicquel 1.81
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.81 (Pinnacle Sports)
Bolelli is a great young Italian talent. He is coming off a nice week last week, where he qualied and beat Chela handily before going down to Davydenko. Gicquel lost to a struggling Nieminen last week in Monte Carlo in the first round and is well under .500 for his win/loss on the year. Bolelli has more weapons and youth here and we see him taking this one.
Apr 24, 2008 Nikolay Davydenko to beat Igor Andreev 1.52
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.52 (Pinnacle Sports)
Davydenko is on a big roll right now. He won Miami and had to pull out against Federer in the finals last week but is fighting fit this week again. Andreev has played spotty all year and we see Nikolay having too much consistency and power in this one.
Apr 23, 2008 Andreas Seppi to beat Sam Querrey 1.40
Bet 1 unit on 1.40 (Pinnacle Sports)
Seppi beat Calleri in straigth sets in the first round. He is a very solid on clay, as shown by his quarters appearance in Kitzbuhel and finals show in Gstaad. Querrey beat Moya first round but is very green on clay to say the least. Seppi will run him around and be getting his serve back. Seppi wins here.
Apr 22, 2008 Philipp Kohlscheiber to beat Nicolas Kiefer 1.54
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.54 (Pinnacle Sports)
Philipp had a great win over Acasuso in his first round match. He won Munich on clay last year and got to the quarters of this tournament last year. Kiefer just hasn't been the same since his return from injury going just 5-5 this season. Philipp advances here.
Apr 21, 2008 Andy Murray to beat Feliciano Lopez 1.51
Bet 1 unit on 1.51 (Pinnacle Sports)
Andy Murray is now being coached by Alex Corretja, the former two time French Open finalist, and will be more than ready to start his clay court season. Lopez had the one good week in Dubai but is 2-6 on the season otherwise. Lopez struggles on the clay too where his patience is always tested, which isn't his strength. Murray will be looking to get back into the top 10 in the coming months and we see him advancing here.
Apr 18, 2008 Mardy Fish to beat Oscar Hernandez 1.68
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.68 (Pinnacle Sports)
Oscar is just not the player he was. He is now 30 years old and had lost first round in his previous 5 events without winning a set. Mardy showed at Indian Wells that he has the CONFIDENCE. Put your cash on the American in America.
Apr 16, 2008 Oscar Hernandez to beat Donald Young 1.91
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.91 (Pinnacle Sports)
Hernandez is a rock solid clay courter with years of experience on clay. He won two Challengers on clay last year and got to the quarters of Brazil this year. He got by Juan Pablo Brzezicki in the first round nicely after losing the first set. Young has played only one tournament on clay, indoor clay at that, in the last year and a half. He beat Vincente in the first round but Vincente has been losing early in Challengers and is really off his form from year's past. We like Oscar here.
Apr 15, 2008 Peter Luczak to beat Harel Levy 1.48
Bet 1 unit on 1.48 (Pinnacle Sports)
Luczak won four challengers on clay last year and is very good at beating guys that he should. Levy barely beat Lipsky in three sets in the last round of quallies and is ranked 167 in the world. Peter takes this one.
Robin Haase to beat Yuri Schukin 1.48 VOID
Bet 1 unit on 1.48 (Pinnacle Sports)
Schukin is a challenger player and he barely got into this tournament. Haase got to the semis of Amersfoot last year and is on his way up to the top 20 soon. Big class difference here, as Yuri has been losing in the first round of Challengers. Haase wins here.
Apr 11, 2008 Jose Acasuso to beat Robin Soderling 1.48
Bet 1 unit on 1.48 (Pinnacle Sports)
Acasuso has reached the finals of Buenos Aires and the semis of Acapulco this year, both on clay. He is 4-0 in Davis Cup play on clay and will be very difficult to beat as he is coming off a quarter-final showing in Miami. Clay is Soderling's worst surface and with his flat groudstrokes and booming serve, there aren't going to be a lot of cheap points to be won against Jose. And with the match being a best of five set match, Jose will be giving Argentina a point on the board in this encounter.
Apr 04, 2008 Andy Roddick to beat Nikolay Davydenko 1.49
Bet 1 unit on 1.49 (Pinnacle Sports)
Roddick is 5-0 against Davydenko and is coming off arguably his biggest win in years over Federer. Andy's big serve is firing on all cylinders and that is bad news for Davydenko, who struggles with Roddick's serve anyway. Davydenko has had a nice week but has escaped a few matches. He won't be escaping this one. Andy loves the atmosphere down in Miami as was shown tonight against Fed. Andy makes it 6-0 against Nikolay.
Apr 02, 2008 James Blake to beat Rafael Nadal 2.52
Bet 0.5 unit on 2.52 (Pinnacle Sports)
This is not a good matchup for Nadal, even though he beat Blake last tournament in Indian Wells. On hard courts, Nadal struggles with players that can hit through the ball and crack winners like Blake, Djokovic, and like Tsonga did at the Aus Open earlier this year. Nadal will constantly be on the defensive tomorrow and will have to come up with incredible shots to win. Nadal has a tendency to hit quite short and Blake loves opening up on these servings. In their last meeting, James was up a break in the first two sets and really let Nadal back in it with careless unforced errors but to Nadal's credit, he played some outstanding defence. Blake is 3-1 lifetime against Nadal and we don't see him making the same mistakes he did two weeks ago. Blake is back to playing great consistent tennis again, as was evident today with his routine win over the tenacious and crafty Radek Stepanek. Big price and big win for James.
Apr 01, 2008 Tomas Berdych to beat Dmitry Tursunov 1.49
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.49 (Pinnacle Sports)
Berdych has been steamrolling good players this week, giving up only 7 games in the dismantling of both Querrey and Ferrero. Tursunov has had a good tournament, in taking out Lopez and Gasquet, but is playing under .500 tennis if you take away his win in Sydney this year. Berdych is very good at coming through over players he should beat and we see no exception to that coming here. In their last meeting, Tursunov managed only 4 games in a best of five match against Tomas. We see Berdych advancing.
Mar 31, 2008 Jose Acasuso to beat Dudi Sela 1.66
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.66 (Pinnacle Sports)
Acasuso is coming off a great win over Hewitt last round. Even though Jose has had most of his success on clay, he has reached a handful of Masters Series quarterfinals in years past on hard courts. Sela, coming off a very surprise win over higher ranked Robredo, will struggle with Acasuso's powerful serve and big forehand combination. Sela's consistency from the baseline will also not bother Acasuso, as Jose can rally with the best of them from the back court. Jose advances here.
Mar 28, 2008 Igor Andreev to beat Michael Berrer 1.58
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.58 (Pinnacle Sports)
Andreev has had some sloppy results this year but his form is back to where it should be, taking out Gasquet in Dubai and going out to a hot Mardy Fish last week. Berrer finally beat Robin Haase in the first round, which avenged two previous losses to him earlier this year but he is 3-8 on the season and we see a class difference between these two that we can't pass up. Berrer does have a good serve but the conditions look to be playing slowly and he was broken three times in his first round match with Haase. Andreev should take advantage of this here.
Tommy Robredo to beat Dudi Sela 1.56
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.56 (Pinnacle Sports)
Robredo is off to a rocky start to 2008 with a 4-5 record but has been losing to guys with big weapons (Ljubicic, Fish, Stepanek), something Sela does not have. And the courts in Miami are playing slowly and Robredo will be eager to get his game together with the clay season fast approaching. Sela had a nice win over Lee in the first round but will not have enough game to beat this former number 5 player in the world. Robredo takes this.
Ivo Karlovic to beat Julien Benneateau 1.54
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.54 (Pinnacle Sports)
Ivo Karlovic is 3-0 against Benneteau and Julien just hates playing these big serving guys that give him no rhythm and don't allow him much of a chance to get too comfortable on the baseline. To give you another example of a similar player to Karlovic and how Julien has fared against him, Benneteau is 0-4 against Sam Querrey. Enough said there. We see big Ivo taking him down again.
Mar 26, 2008 Vince Spadea to beat Pablo Cuevas 1.71
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.71 (Pinnacle Sports)
Spadea is back home in his home state here and has had a solid year, reaching the quarters of Adelaide and Delray Beach. His last few outings haven't been spectacular but he always plays well and puts in great efforts in the Sunshine state. Cuevas, who primarily plays on clay, played in only three hard court matches all last season and lost all three of them. He did come through qualies here but we see Spadea being too solid on the hard courts.
Mar 18, 2008 Mario Ancic to beat Juan Carlos Ferrero 1.57
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.57 (Pinnacle Sports)
Mario is really playing great tennis, serving well, returning well and has such a fighting spirit that you love to have on your side. A very solid win over Gonzalez last round. Juan Carlos is 3-0 against Mario but you can throw those results out the door when analyzing this match as they were when Mario was just starting out and Ferrero was at the top of the ATP rankings. A lot has changed since then and Ferrero is somewhat a shadow of his old self even though he can still produce some good results on occasion. With recent losses to Gabashvili and Mahut, we see Ferrero going down here as well. Mario wins here.
Mar 17, 2008 James Blake to beat Carlos Moya 1.50
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.50 (Pinnacle Sports)
Blake has won four of their last five meetings and is simply a better player we believe here. Moya got by Ginepri in three sets in the first round but has struggled this year, posting mediocre results besides a semi in Chennai and a final in Brazil. We see Blake having too much in this encounter.
Mar 16, 2008 Mario Ancic to beat Fernando Gonzalez 1.64
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.64 (Pinnacle Sports)
Ancic has won their last two meetings and looks to be on a mission to regain his top form that took him to top ten in the world. Gonzalez is off to another erratic start to the year and hasn't seemed to have recaptured his form that got him to the Aussie Open final last year. We like Ancic to take it to him here with his solid play and patience that should out do Fernando here.
Tommy Haas to beat Andy Roddick 4.75
Bet 0.5 unit on 4.75 (Pinnacle Sports)
These odds are almost comical and a big overraction to Roddick's best result in years. Haas is 6-3 lifetime against Andy and has won his last two meetings against him. Tommy hasn't been playing his best tennis this year but is definitely capable of doing so, as shown by his first round win over Benneteau. It doesn't matter how well Andy is playing, he doesn't seem to like to play Haas and Tommy is going to do everything in his power to take out the American here and rekindle his past form. Take Tommy here where at least two sets need to finish to count in case the injury prown Haas pulls out and we just push.
Mar 14, 2008 John Isner to beat Simone Bolelli 1.81
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.81 (Pinnacle Sports)
We see Isner continuing to play solid big serving tennis in America. Bolelli played well in Zagreb but we see him struggling mightily with Isner's serve here, just like he did in the semis of Zagreb against Stakhovsky. Isner is a gamer on home soil and we see him taking this one.
Mar 07, 2008 Sam Querrey to beat Julien Benneteau 1.73
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.73 (Pinnacle Sports)
Querrey has had two solid wins this week, over Grosjean and Kiefer and has improvement his movement and game lately. He is 3-0 against Benneteau and we see him having too many weapons again here against Julien. Nice price too as bookies are giving Benneteau a little too much credit here we feel with his last win over Hewitt.
Robby Ginepri to beat Ernest Gulbis 1.60
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.60 (Pinnacle Sports)
Ginepri is getting back into his old form and is looking to break into the top 100 again and secure berths into the Grand Slams. He has had two solid wins this week over Baghdatis and Malisse and we see him being too solid from the baseline for the young Gulbis.
Mar 06, 2008 Rafael Nadal to beat Andy Roddick 1.68
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.68 (Pinnacle Sports)
Nadal is only a 150 points behind number one Federer if he is able to win this tournament. With Federer out, this is a great opportunity for him to edge closer to No. 1 and we see him to be hungrier than ever. He beat Roddick convincingly last time they met and Andy doesn't like to play against his high loopy ground strokes. We see Rafa taking this one.
Mar 05, 2008 Nicolas Kiefer to beat Sam Querrey 1.62
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.62 (Pinnacle Sports)
Mar 03, 2008 Roger Federer to beat Andy Murray 1.29
Bet 1 unit on 1.29 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 28, 2008 Ivan Ljubicic to beat Teimuraz Gabashvili 1.48
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.48 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 26, 2008 Mardy Fish to beat Bobby Reynolds 1.30
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.30 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 25, 2008 Tommy Haas to beat Diego Hartfield 1.40
Bet 1.5 units on 1.40 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 22, 2008 Robin Soderling to beat Andreas Seppi 1.54
Bet 1 unit on 1.54 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 21, 2008 Robin Haase to beat Michael Berrer 1.57
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.57 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 20, 2008 Nicolas Mahut to beat Teimuraz Gabashvili 1.46
Bet 1 unit on 1.46 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 18, 2008 Hyung-Taik Lee to beat Donald Young 1.55 VOID
Bet 1 unit on 1.55 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 15, 2008 Paul-Henri Mathieu to beat Gilles Simon 1.75
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.75 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 14, 2008 Robby Ginepri to beat Michael Russell 1.63
Bet 1 unit on 1.63 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 12, 2008 Juan Pablo Brzezicki to beat Olivier Patience 1.66
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.66 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 11, 2008 Albert Montanes to beat Nicolas Devilder 1.44
Bet 1 unit on 1.44 (Pinnacle Sports)
Robby Ginepri to beat Mathieu Montcourt 1.35
Bet 1 unit on 1.35 (Pinnacle Sports)
Feb 08, 2008 USA Davis Cup Team to beat Austrian Davis Cup Team 1.45
Bet 1 unit on 1.45 (Pinnacle Sports)
James Blake to beat Stefan Koubek 1.99
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.99 (Pinnacle Sports)
Jan 31, 2008 Luis Horna to beat Carlos Berlocq 1.57
Bet 1 unit on 1.57 (Pinnacle Sports)
Jan 28, 2008 Diego Hartfield to beat Mariano Zabaleta 1.87
Bet 0.5 unit on 1.87 (Pinnacle Sports)
Jan 27, 2008 Novak Djokovic to beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 1.40
Bet 1 unit on 1.40 (Pinnacle Sports)
Jan 20, 2008 Paul-Henri Mathieu to beat Rafael Nadal 6.0 VOID
Bet 0.5 unit on 6.0 (Stan James)
James Blake to beat Marin Cilic 1.67
Bet 1 unit on 1.67 (Pinnacle Sports)
David Ferrer to beat Juan Carlos Ferrero 1.56
